Uses

The tools behind the articles, listed for the same reason other people list theirs: it is genuinely useful to see what a site was actually built with.

Development

  • Local by Flywheel for the runnable site, with a small shim so WP-CLI can reach the database.
  • @wordpress/scripts for the build. No custom webpack beyond adding entry points.
  • PHPCS with the WordPress ruleset, plus ESLint and stylelint, all wired to a single check task.

Writing

  • The block editor, with the theme’s own code sample and callout blocks.
  • Drafts kept in plain text until they are worth publishing.
  • Code samples pasted and then trimmed. Half of every snippet is scaffolding.
check.sh
npm run check # eslint + stylelint + generated font block
composer lint # phpcs, WordPress-Extra
npm run build
